USER GUIDE
Turn questions into shared understanding.
Use plain language to explore assigned data, save repeatable answers, and give your team a shared vocabulary.
Ask a question
What it is for: Get an answer from an assigned database source, or use General AI chat for a question that does not need company data.
Who can use it: Any signed-in team member with the relevant source grant.
- Open Ask from the workspace navigation.
- Choose up to two assigned sources, or leave the selection empty for General AI chat.
- Write a specific question with a time period, comparison, or breakdown.
- Review the answer, result table, and any Dictionary definitions used.
For important decisions, verify the answer with the source owner. Database answers are bounded and may be labeled as limited.
Create a dashboard insight
What it is for: Keep a repeatable question and its result in a dashboard your team can revisit.
Who can use it: Dashboard owners can create, edit, refresh, reorder, delete, and share their insights.
- Open Dashboard and create a dashboard, or open an existing one you own.
- Select Add insight, choose the source, and write a repeatable question.
- Preview the answer, then choose a number, bar chart, line chart, or table.
- Save the insight. Use Refresh when you need a fresh query.
Each user can create up to five named dashboards with up to 20 insights per dashboard. Shared dashboards are read-only for viewers.
Use the Dictionary
What it is for: Define company terms once so people and AI use the same meaning.
Who can use it: Everyone can add definitions. The creator and administrators can edit them.
- Open Dictionary and select + Add definition.
- Enter the term name and its meaning, then save it.
- Reference it in Ask or a dashboard question with an annotation such as
@revenue. - Review the definition and version shown with the answer.
Editing creates a new version. Existing dashboard insights keep the definition version used when they were previewed until you preview and save them again.
